Release: The Candle’s Flame (A Bridge Between Worlds 6)

And so we come to journey’s end.

In the entire history of her people, Etanya was the first to travel to another world. Her new friends, including one who had become somewhat more, all came from theirs to hers, but she went the other way. No story, no tale, could prepare her for what she saw. Surrounded by unfamiliar faces, strange machines, and things she can only describe as magic, she wants nothing more than to find her place. That place, she well knows, is at Ramon’s side, but can he take that final step?

This is the end of A Bridge Between Worlds, but it’s far from the last you’ll see of the Otherworld setting. No, I have greater things in store for it. Season 2 of the main story, titled Return to the Otherworld, will debut in early 2019. Novel month 2018 – Day 19

Moving through Chapter 6, but I’m getting a little bogged down. That’s not just from the story, though. I’ve written almost as much in general communication, or that’s what it feels like. Anyway, I’m moving on, so don’t worry about me. Setting up for a big finish…I hope.

Still in Chapter 5, thanks to some…let’s call them personal problems. But I’m keeping pace, if barely. The two threads are in the process of intertwining, so things should be easier from here on out. And I’m connecting the whole thing to a storyline separated by over 4 millennia. Couldn’t be easier.

I had a bad day today. Didn’t get out of bed until 3, because I was so dizzy I could barely stand up. I’m still not feeling all that well, so I think I’ll cut a little earlier than I wanted. Still on Chapter 5, but it looks like the big meeting scene is postponed a day. Well, I’ve got time.

Novel month 2018 – Day 15

Back to normal now. No job, no hope, but a lot of writing. So I started Chapter 5, which moves back to our secondary POV, the not-quite-alien climatologist Chahin. This is where the two paths will cross, I’ve already decided, so I get to write that tomorrow. Always a good moment in a book.

So the interview turned out to be a bust. Well, that just puts me in the right frame of mind to write, right? Thanks to my utter failure at being hired, I finished Chapter 4. Little bit of action, little bit of drama, it all worked out okay. Unlike some things in my life.

So I did what’s technically my first job interview today, and it was something else. But that cut into my writing time, and my wisdom tooth’s bothering me, so I didn’t get much done on the story front. We’re still in Chapter 4, but now business is picking up. I hope to finish tomorrow. I also hope to hear that I’m now a professional developer, but let’s stick to reasonable goals, right?

Novel month 2018 – Day 11

One hundred years ago marked the end of World War I. It’s only appropriate that my writing for today is the beginning of this story’s only significant military action. So far, that’s just a scouting mission, but there will be fighting soon enough. Maybe later in Chapter 4, but we’ll see.
